On-Ice Sessions
Picture
Lee will be hosting two hours of on-ice sessions with each group.

One session will focus on jump techniques, including emphasis on axel, loop, toe and lutz (and doubles for some).

The other session will focus on spinning and edge techniques with emphasis on increasing spin speed.

Off-Ice Sessions
Off-ice Session Info

As always, Skate with a Champion always includes high quality off-ice sessions too.
Creative Movement & Performance Skills
A class designed to build confidence, while encouraging creativity and focusing on coordination, rhythm and personal style of movement and dance. This session will improve your skating performances and ability to convey your artistry, not just your grasp of the elements!
Performance Make-Up: Tips and Tricks
Doing ice performance make-up can be tough since skaters are typically alone on a heavily lit white sheet of ice! The session will focus mostly on eyes and lips as those are the two basic features that can help build a skater’s on-ice character and help their beautiful faces ‘pop’. This isn’t a one-colour-fits-all kind of session - It’s all about learning what works best for the individual skater. Luckily, the groups are small enough that Michelle and Amanda can give each skater some personalized attention and advice! Skaters will get to try the techniques themselves and get advice as they go. Dramatic looks and natural looks are both on the menu!

If your skater is not interested in this session, that’s perfectly okay! We will have a Flexibility Session as an alternative. If this is your plan, please bring Yoga mat, off-ice clothing suitable for a heated room and sneakers.
Judging Mysteries Revealed
Sometimes the scores we get on programs can feel like a mystery! This session will help skaters understand better what judges are looking for. Skaters will benefit from the insights, shared in a fun and interactive way! This session is led by Sarah Miles, Senior-level Singles judge, Sectional-level technical controller, technical specialist and referee.
