Team Jacket Program
Having a team jacket is an important part of the figure skating experience. In a sport where you compete out on that ice surface alone, it's comforting to feel a part of something bigger. Team jackets also help identify our skaters and our club at competition and raise awareness that f you want to figure skate, there's a team in the community waiting to meet you!
Tips on choosing the right jacket
Think about how the skater handles the cold. If your skater spends practice in a tank top in the middle of winter, the lightweight jackets makes more sense. It also allows our coaches to see body position and mechanics more clearly. If your skater complains about the cold, even half the time, the fleece-lined fitted jacket will be a better choice for her. And, again, it's fitted which is helpful for seeing body position and mechanics.
Think about competition. If your skater competes, you know there's a lot of time spent sitting around, trying to stay warm. Cold skaters are stiff skaters. If your skater doesn't already have a warm jacket for the rink, the quilted team jacket might be a good investment.
Think about growth. If your skater is growing right in front of your eyes, consider the mid-weight team jacket. Its price point is less of a stretch when your skater outgrows it and it is still a great looking, and feeling, jacket!

What to expect
There are minimum order requirements on all of the jackets except the fleece-lined fitted jacket. As such, we may need to hold orders until we reach that number, or there may be an extra charge for a small order.
Orders can take up to 8 weeks to arrive. So leave lots of time when you order!
Jackets will have the Truro Figure Skating Club logo on the back, and the skater's name on either the sleeve or the left chest, depending on the model of jacket.

How to order
Choose the jacket you want, using the size guide to choose the right size. Send the order to [email protected], including the style of jacket, the size, and the skater's first and last name (spell carefully). You can pay by cheque (payable to Truro Figure Skating Club), cash or e-transfer. Payment must be received before the order is placed.
